When I originally was looking at the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set, I was just wanting to replace my retired Papillon Potpourri stamp set and coordinating punches. But once I started using the new set, I realized how much I love working with butterflies and found myself with a million ideas that just didn’t stop. Now I am combining the Butterfly Gala set with Forever Fern and so much more for these amazing results!

Hello beautiful…

This card was a fun combo of Forever Fern bundle stamp set & dies and the other items in the Forever Greenery Suite from Stampin’ Up!. I use the Greenery embossing folder for the white base and the Subtle 3D embossing folder for the green card base. For the cardstock, I used Soft Sea Foam, Vellum and Whisper White; Inks was Soft Suede for the butterfly outline, Soft Sea Foam and Rich Razzleberry; Embellishments was In Good Taste Elements, Gold Hoops, and Gold Metallic pearls. The greeting utilized the Tasteful Labels dies, and for the two toned butterfly and eucalyptus leaves, I used sponge daubers. For the final touch, I used a little versamark on each fern tip, them used gold embossing powder. All the materials are below.

The good things…

This card used the same design elements as the above, with the circle theme and stacking with foliage from a number of sets, but emphasizing the beautiful leafy butterfly that looks a little fairy and as though it belongs in a forest. I used the same Forever Fern bundle on the “Hello beautiful” card, but added items from Rooted In Nature as well. The cardstock is Sahara Sand for the base, Whisper White (used Subtle 3D embossing folder), and Vellum for the foliage and wood; Inks: Soft Suede (for butterfly base & leaf on velllum) Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, and Sahara Sand (for wood grain and one of the leafy stamps); added 1/2 of a gold hoop (as you cannot see the other 1/2 anyway, and added the gold metallic pearls. The butterflies were sponged for color, but I did use the lighter of the mossy meadow blends to add a little pop on the lower side of each leaf on the butterfly wings! I hope you enjoy making the card this as much as I did! Below I varied the layout profile for fun and added pics of simpler cards.

Hello beautiful…

This darling card from Butterfly Gala and coordinating punch is another easy one for beginner stampers. It is only a few colors of ink (Stazon Jet Black, Melon Mango Blends, and the Soft Sea Foam Blends). I used Whisper White Thick and Regular cardstock, and the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker for the body of the butterfly, antenna, and the flight trail. I also used Wink of Stella for the butterfly wings on the 3D and envelope butterflies. I used just one Basic Rhinestone for the head of the 3D butterfly as well for that extra bling!

Fun, simple and cheerful! What is not to love!! Enjoy the video below.
