Excellent Eggs Bundle

Hello Spring

Spring colors speak to my heart, with fall colors a close second. With spring comes easter! The new Excellent Egg Bundle, on page 27 of the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog, is so much fun to play with and perfect for Easter crafting!

The Excellent Egg Bundle has adorable sentiments with the sweetest font mixtures, along with cute images to color. I was really excited about the dies and all the fun things I could do with them, as you will see from this month’s kit.

As I am preparing for my upcoming class featuring the adorable Excellent Egg Bundle, I paired it with the sweet Lighter Than Air 6”x6” DSP for a wonderful spring feel to my projects. This “Hello Spring” card is one of my samples (not part of the class), and showcases the fun DSP along with the sweet verse font of the stamp set! Even though I did very little stamping on this card, I loved playing with the all the fun colors that coordinate with the DSP, including the Bakers Twine Three Color Pack and the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots.

The DSP with the air balloons caught my eye as the approximate shape of the smallest egg die (just up-side-down), and thought they would showcase the adorable cut-outs by gluing the die cut egg to Basic White DSP. I then set them aside to work on the card base.

This A2 card is Basic White Thick CS, (4-1/4”x5-1/2”) with a layer of 4-1/8”x5-3/8” Basic White CS, embossed with the bubbled Basic 3D Embossing Folder. I tore off a corner of the embossed layer, and glued a scrap of the striped DSP behind it. I used a 7” length of the Pool Party 3/8” Ribbon to glue to the front, then wrapped an approximate 20” length of all three of the Bakers Twine Three Color Pack and tied a bow. I popped up the ribboned card front to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut out another egg (2nd to smallest egg) in the striped DSP, then glued it to the card front. I then popped up the other 3 eggs using Stampin’ Dimensionals, letting the look like they were rolling around a bit (or a bit like drunken sailors). I stamped the Hello Spring sentiment on a scrap of Basic White CS with the Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin’ Ink, then fussy cut it out. I then glued it to a scrap of Flirty Flamingo CS and fussy cut around that, popping it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My final touches to my card were a mix of the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots. I then embossed the Medium Envelope flap with the bubbled Basics 3D Embossing Folder!
