Slightly Overboard…

How?, you ask can anyone go “slightl"y” overboard? Either you are or you aren’t, right? Haha… as I prepare for my first stamp camp in years (you cannot make me say how many), I am trying to tick off all the things on the list in my head… the problem is… the list keeps multiplying… and darn it all… at 3:00 am in the morning!

The stamp camp is tomorrow. I have the sweetest of friends coming to cheer me on and learn some new tricks, but I have had little sleep this week. Most wee hour list-building has been to make sure I have enough ideas for the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets I already have and so there are a variety of examples from simple to complicated, depending on my customer’s skill level. Then there are the door prizes, potential hostess gifts, and all the other goodies that are needed to build and create beautiful cards.

Then there is COVID-19… that added a whole new bunch of complication to my prepping. Creating individual packets of all the supplies for 4-different cards, adhesives for all 8 peeps, sanitizers for each person, and individually packaged snacks (thanks to my shopping loving husband). I still need to wipe down everything (packets, snacks, adhesives, blocks, etc…). BIG SIGH!!

I am so excited about tomorrow… about teaching my friends about what I love, and hoping the bug bites them too so they will keep playing with me over the coming years! Of course I want to build my new business, but it is really about how much I love making beautiful paper art for my friends and loved ones. Yes, I am a little… no… slightly overboard…
