Birthday Sparkle Kit & Scrapbook Layout
I am so excited about this scrapbooking trend I started with kits! The Birthday Sparkle Kit is amazing all on it’s own, but using it for a scrapbook layout far exceeded my expectations and came together superbly! Not only am I having an absolute blast getting back into scrapbooking, but I am getting it done!! A double blessing!!
The kit makes six fun cards and six adorable tags. The gold glimmer elements makes the cards pop and all the gold foil is so elegant! The kit has adorable sentiments that celebrate so sweetly! The kits lends itself easily to invites as well as birthday cards, You can use tags for gifts, place cards or party favor tags! So many options!

I used the Birthday Sparkle Kit for my Fri-Yay Kit-Together this week. I started the spread with two 12”x12” Basic White CS and used two 8”x8” layers of Gold Celebrations 12”x12” Specialty DSP (acetate) with gold confetti in the background. I placed them so they were centered and on the diagonal so they create subtle diamond in the center of both pages. see video link for instructions…
I used Gold Foil Sheets, Basic Black CS and retired Kraft CS for my photo layers. As you may note, I also used the retired Rectangle dies for frames. Your layers are dependent on your photo sizes. My photos come 3-1/2”x 5”, but I find I cut them down as needed.
I also banded two strips of retired ribbon (gold & petal pink) and created bows, then layered the kit elements (a 1/2 card, balloons, and the tags) on both layouts.
Using the Bee Builder Punch, I cut out hearts in Kraft (retired), Petal Pink and Gold Foil to sprinkle across the pages. I also added Gold Foil stars and balloons from Beautiful Balloon dies.
The two die cut sentiments, star sprays, and black & gold packages are from Wanted To Say dies in a retired gold metallic specialty paper and the retired Kraft CS.
I popped up all these items using Stampin’ Dimensionals or glue dots.
My final element was adding the Brushed Brass Butterflies. Overall, this is one of my favorite scrapbook layouts. Any of these elements I added can be made into alternate cards as well.
