Country Flowers Bundle & Simple Watercoloring

I love a simple yet elegant card and this sweet little Country Flowers Bundle card fits the bill! The Country Flowers Bundle is part of the adorable Country Woods Suite Collection in the new 2024-25 Annual Catalog! The whole suite makes me so happy!!
The Country Woods Suite Collection includes two sweet bundles (Country Birdhouse & Country Flowers), along with two sets of 12”x12” DSP (Country Woods & Country Lace). For this blog, I am concentrating on the Country Flowers Bundle and the Country Lace DSP.
I plan to use the Country Flowers for my To-Go Kit for June.
For my Marvelous Monday FB Live this week, I started with a A2 card base in Smokey Slate CS (8-1/2”x5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”), then added a 4”x5-1/4” layer of Basic White, embossed with the new Lace 3D Embossing Folder from the Country Woods Suite Collection.
I popped up a 3”x4” layer of the Country Lace DSP in the center. for the top layer, I used a 2-1/2”x3-1/2” piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. watch my video for how-to…
I spritzed the watercolor paper with water, then using the ink from my Petal Pink Classic Stampin’ Pad, I used a water painter to apply the wash of color over the central part of the paper. After it dried completely, I stamped the sentiment, tea pot and flowers in Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad ink, then distressed the edges before gluing it to the top layer of DSP. I then added the Basic Gray & Smokey Slate Pearls to the front of the card.
On the inside of the card, I used a 4”x5-1/2” piece of the same DSP on the front, then added a 3-1/2”x4-3/4” piece of Basic White CS.
I needed Mother’s Day Cards and used the lovely sentiment from the Stippled Roses stamp set and the eyelet lace medallion from the Country Flowers stamp set. So lovely! For the envelopes (not shown), I stamped the same image as the front of the card in either Basic Gray or Petal Pink ink. Simple yet lovely.
