FREE Tree Lot Dies - Vintage Campers
We love vintage camper trailers, “canned ham trailers” or Airstream trailers!!
It’s that time again for prepping for my next class and I used the FREE Sale-a-bration Tree Lot Dies to make this goody holder for my upcoming class attendees and show them how versatile they are, and AMAZING of course!
I haven’t decided on the goodies, but thought putting something yummy in the middle of a Glue Dot roll at each place would be cute! Tell me your ideas. I’ve also included the measurements and assembly process in pics. Making these made my heart swell and was so much fun!! I love this part of my SU! biz!!!!
All you need for these 3D cute vintage camper treat holders is cardstock, Vellum CS and 4 dies from the Tree Lot Dies: the trailer, the roof and side panel (one die), curtain, and the banner die (not shown in pic).
I used 2”x3” pieces of cardstock to make the trailers, and 1-1/2”x4” for the body of the box. Score the base at 1/4” along the long edges, and 1” from each end from the short sides. I then use scraps of Basic Black CS for the tire and hitch, and the coordinating scraps in the color for the curtain and hub cap. The cutest camp trailers match with coordinating colors.
When assembling the box, fold all the score lines, the cut off sections from the tabs so when it is folded to fit the trailer, the tabs do not get in the way with each other. See image below…
When assembling, I like to add the tires, trailer hitch, the vellum and curtains to the windows, then the roof and side panels to the trailer front. I typically glue the back side first, lining up the bottom edge of the box with the bottom side of the trailer. I adjust the two ends so that the box does not exceed beyond the edges of the trailer. I then add the front panel of the trailer to the box, again adjusting the ends to not exceed beyond the trailer. I then added the banner, adding blend ink in matching colors, then glue it on.
