Cottage Rose Posy

A sweet friend’s birthday…

is an absolute great excuse to create a lovely posy using the Rose Cottage Bundle!

Just for you…

I love giving May Day posies to my friends and neighbors, but my roses bloomed early this year so didn’t have a chance. But paper posies can be just as sweet and last much longer, though do not nearly smell as sweet.

For this arrangement, I used the Cottage Rose Bundle stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the 5 roses and 10 extra leaves on Shimmery White CS. I used blending brushes to add Fresh Freesia Ink for the rose, Pale Papaya Ink for the small buds, and Parakeet Party Ink to the leaves. I then came back to the flower centers with the Fresh Freesia Blends to give a little more pop. To add more to the flowers, I added a little Wink of Stella to each rose petal.

I used one of my spare butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp set, colored in Soft Suede and Pale Papaya Blends, then added more Wink of Stella pen for glimmer.

I used a 6”x6” piece of the Abigail Rose 12”x12” Designer Series Paper for the sweet cone to hold the posy. I took the 6”x6” piece of DSP, and added a 6” length of Tear and Tape to one of the sides of the DSP. I then curved up the the paper into a cone, then adhered the cone together. I added a loop of Pale Papaya 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon for a way to hang the posy, then added a couple of triple bows together in Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon to the front. I added a tag using the Tailored Tags dies, using Shimmery White CS, and stamping the sentiment in Fresh Freesia Ink, using the Charming Sentiments stamp set.

The below video is just a clip so you can see how pretty it is as you move it around. I was unable to put together a video of instructions.
