New - Country Birdhouse Bundle

There is so much about the new catalog that gets me excited, and the Country Woods Suite Collection is one of them! The suite includes two sweet bundles and I focused on the Country Birdhouse Bundle for this weeks Marvelous Monday Facebook Live (feel free to join me on Monday’s at 7:30 PM CT! Stop in and say hi!

Also, I plan to use this adorable bundle and DSP for my May class kit! Too cute!!

The adorable Country Birdhouse Bundle has stamps and dies that coordinate but also stand alone as I have shown on the picture here! There is also the wonderful Country Woods 12”x12” DSP that includes 12 kinds of wood and distressed and chipping painted wood that coordinate wonderfully together!

The suite collection has some lovely Petal Pink & White 1/4” Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, the sweet Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, and the pretty Basic Gray & Smokey Slate Pearls. The collection also has some adorable Country Lace 12”x12” DSP as well that goes along with the Country Flowers Bundle (I will feature that next month).

happy birthday

For this sweet card, I CASE’d (Copy and Slightly Edit) right from the new catalog and used the stamp set and blends. I started with an A2 Basic White Thick CS for the base then glued a 4-1/2”x5-1/2” Basic Black CS layer. I took a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” piece of Coastal Cabana CS and embossed it with the Eyelet 3D EF, then held it in my hand as I added the Craft White ink to the eyelet to give it an old faded look. watch my video for how I achieved this…

Before gluing the embossed layer down, I distressed the edges all the way around.

For the inked image, I used a 3-1/2”x4-3/4” Basic White CS and used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink so I could use blends to achieve my color choices. I stamped the birdhouse first, then added the flowers to both sides (much like the image in the new catalog).

I used Pecan Pie Blends for the wood roof and base, then used Pool Party blends for the house. I used the new Summer Splash Blends (as they are a close match to Coastal Cabana) and colored the leaves eave and nesting perch. The flowers and scalloped gable are colored in Petal Pink blends.

For the wood grain on the roof and base, I used the Pecan Pie Dark Blend, then used the Pecan Pie Classic Stampin’ Pad ink and used the wood grain stamp from the bundle. I then used the same stamp to add the wood grain in Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad ink to the birdhouse.

I then stamped happy birthday in Memento ink, distressed the edges and popped the layer up using Stamping Dimensionals. My only embellishment was the Petal Pink 1/4” Diagonal Trim in a bow below the birdhouse. Sweet!!

happy birthday

For the 2nd card for my FB Live, I used the same colors as the prior card, but used the Country Woods 12”x12” DSP and dies to create my birdhouse. I love this card so much, I want a birdhouse that looks just like it for my yard!! Again I started with an A2 Basic White Thick CS base, but this time glued a 4-1/4”x5-1/2” layer of Coastal Cabana CS. I then took a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” piece of Basic Black CS and embossed with the Eyelet 3D EF, then distressed with the Craft White ink and edges distressed as well.

I used the Country Wood 12”x12” DSP to die cut all the pieces of the birdhouse, starting with the base and eave layer with the white paint chipped DSP. I die cut out the house base and roof in the Pool party chipped paint DSP, then the scalloped gable in the Petal Pink chipped DSP. I popped each layer up using Stampin’ Dimensionals, but on my 2nd one, I ended up gluing the white birdhouse to the card front and popping up the gable and base elements to get a 3D effect.

For the “s” curved piece, I used the bird stand die and just used a portion of it and cut it and the bow/string holder in Basic White. I popped the “s” up using dimensionals and then glued the string/bow to the birdhouse peak and the “s”.

The flowers were die cut from Petal Pink CS and the leaves in Coastal Cabana. I popped each one up with dimensionals and then tucked the leaves under with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White CS, the cut it in half and popped it up with dimensionals as well.

My final touch was the additions of the Basic Gray & Smokey Slate Pearls. It’s such a sweet birdhouse… oh and card! lol
