Notes of Nature Bundle

For last week’s Marvelous Monday Facebook Live, I was playing with the soon to be retired Notes of Nature Bundle! The Nature's Sweetness Suite Collection is so stunning, so, with the 2023-24 Catalog retiring at the end of this month, what better way to spend a Monday Evening than playing with the gorgeous Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper along with the lovely Notes of Nature Bundle.

I am sad to say that the Notes of Nature Bundle, the Sweetness of Nature Specialty DSP, the Cork Rounds and the Distressed Gold cardstock are all on the Last Chance List. Remember, these wonderful things are only available until they are sold out or April 30th!

just a little note…

I started with a really easy card using the gorgeous Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper that has the spotlighted floral images in Pebbled Path, White and a circle of Pecan Pie. I love it when the cardstock does all the heavy lifting, yet I get a lovely card to send to my precious friends.

I used just a few blends of Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lolly, and Pebbled Path to color in the image in a free flowing way. It just makes the focus so much more vibrant. I layered the 3-3/4”x5” DSP over a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” piece of the gold gilt script on Pebbled Path. Then I glued down a 4-1/4”x5-1/2” piece of Pecan Pie CS to a 5-1/2”x8-1/2” folded piece of Basic White Thick CS for a base.

The only other thing I did was add the Cork Rounds to the card and it was done. One of the best ways to make a card special is to be thinking of the person you plan to send it to. So much love goes into our paper hugs! Don’t miss out on this beautiful Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper before it is sold out!

THANKS FOR MAKING ME SMILE

This beautiful card was full of layers of loveliness! As above, I started with a 5-1/2”x8-1/2” folded piece of Basic White Thick CS for a base. I used a 4-1/4-5-1/2” piece of the Pebbled Path grid from the Natures Sweetness Specialty DSP for my first layer. I cut a 3-3/4”x5” piece of the gold Specialty DSP for the next layer, placing it at an angle to the base card. I cut a 3”x4” piece of the Pebbled Path CS and embossed it with the Fern 3D EF, then swiped the Whisper White Craft ink over it for highlight the texture. I then glued it down at an angle. I used more of the DSP to die cut out sprigs from the Notes of Nature dies, and I had a few sprigs in Pool Party from Gorgeously Made dies (soon to be retired). I also cut out the long sprig from the Notes of Nature dies in Distressed Gold Specialty Paper (soon to be retired or sold out) and cut it down to 3 parts. Set aside

I next used a 3”x4” piece of Basic White CS, and stamped it with Pool Party ink with the book ledger stamp from the Notes of Nature stamp set to get the old note paper look. I then stamped the Field Notes in Pebbled Path ink over the top, and die cut out the holes with the Notes of Nature dies. I roughed up the edges by stamping the speckles along the edges and then curled up the edges as well. I then tied a short bit of the Faux Leather Trim (soon to retire) in the top hole ang glued it down to the card front. watch my YouTube video for more direction.

Using the Nested Essential Dies, I cut out my sentiment from the Notes of Nature stamp set in Pebbled Path ink and cut out a larger piece of the Natures Sweetness Specialty DSP. I glued the sentiment to the larger banner and then popped them up using Stampin Dimensionals. I then layered the foliage as shown. The video will help if you get stuck. Be sure to get the goodies before they retire!
