Rock Legend Kit Scrapbook Layout

What better use for card kits than a scrapbook layout! I love that there are so many options with alternates to kits, that I decided to start scrapbooking again!

I don’t know about you, but when I get REALLY BEHIND, I stop and don’t do anything!! It gets too overwhelming to even think where to start! One step at a time, right? I took the opportunity to start up my scrapbooking by using my kits to help me get back in it.

The Rock Legend Kit (that coordinates with the Rock & Roll Suite Collection on page 54-55 of the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog) makes 8 fun cards for those rockstars in your life for only $14 (that is $1.75 per card)! WOW)! And no stamping!! Just pop out the pieces and assemble!!

So much more can be done with the fun Rock Legend Kit! Check out the cards and 2-page scrapbook layout I put together for my Monday morning Fri-Yay Kit-Together last week!! I took only two cards apart to make the layout! That would have been enough, but to take my scrapbook layout to the next level, I added coordinating cardstock and DSP. Instructions on how I put together my page is in the YouTube link below.

The cardstock I used to supplement the kit was 2-sheets of Basic Black CS 12"x12”, Real Red CS, Basic White CS, and Crushed Curry CS. I added some black & white Delightfully Eclectic DSP, ribbon and die cut some stars! So Easy!!

I took the opportunity to cut up the envelopes and use up extras of the kit (it comes in German, French, Dutch & English), and flipped the printed guitar picks to write on and use as a background for the fussy cut “rockstar”. I used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to create a loose plaid behind it.

I used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies for the “Hey Handsome”, and the stars are from Beautiful Balloon Dies. The red star embellishments come from the kit! Super easy!! More on how I put my page together can be found on my YouTube Video link below.
