Sweet Springtime - Scrapbook Layout

I am so thrilled with this first quarter of Paper Pumpkin 2024! Both January (Lovely Lavender) and February 2024 Sweet Springtime have more than exceeded expectations and March 2024 Memorable Meadows is already showing gorgeous hints!! The Sweet Springtime kit has 3 sweet bunny cards, 3 slimline chick cards and there are 3 adorable treat boxes. I love the colors, gingham and flowers so much!

BUNNY LOVE

Starting in January, I decided to try to scrapbook every week with either a Paper Pumpkin Kit or a Stampin’ Up! Kit Collection kit. I am decades behind in my scrapbook efforts, and rather than keep saying to myself “someday”, I am just doing it!

As part of my Fri-Yay Kit-Together this last Friday, I unveiled the Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit and how I put together this adorable scrapbook layout (see the YouTube link below for more details).

The scrapbook layout started with one of each of the cards & envelopes and the box from the kit, Lemon Lolly CS 12”x12”, and then I used Pool Party CS, Petal Pink CS, Soft Sea Foam CS along with some Bubble Bath CS and Basic White CS.

I love that the Love Of Spring Dies Paper Pumpkin Add-on coordinates so nicely with this adorable kit! The daffodils were die cut from Lemon Lolly CS, and then colored with a retired Pale Papaya Dark Blend and the Granny Apple Green Blend.

I had some scraps from prior projects (Excellent Eggs Dies & Paper Florist Dies) to add to my spread. The Alphabet Al A Mode dies were used with Crumb Cake CS for the word “Bunny”. The “Love” is from the Love of Spring Dies in Petal Pink CS, layered on Pool Party CS and fussy cut.

Cutting open the envelopes adds more of the sweet gingham background layers. Depending on your photo sizes and quantities, you can add layers in 1/8” increments… for example, I cut down all the photos to 3-1/2”x4-3/4”, so my Pool Party CS layer was 3-5/8”x4-7/8” and my Petal Pink CS layer was 3-3/4”x5”.

Once you have your photos placed, you can add more elements as desired. Because I did not know what the kit looked like beforehand, I had just added placeholders. After I cut down the envelopes and cards, I could replace them with kit pieces.

For the final touch, I added a mix of the white dots from the kit and the new Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins that are coming in March 2024 in the Online Exclusive release (part of the new Simply Zinnia Suite Collection).

Crazy, but I forgot how much I love to scrapbook, and with results with this adorable kit, I am so glad my sweet friend kept nudging me to do this!!
