Trusty Toolbox DSP - FREE

you’re the most AWESOME

My biggest creative weakness is masculine cards… so when Stampin’ Up! provides a cool bundle and FREE DSP, I snatch it up!

The Trusty Tools Bundle from the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog is perfect for all those handy folks (gals or guys) and if you pair it with the amazing and versatile FREE Sale-a-bration Trusty Toolbox 12”x12” DSP, you can have a winning solution for Father’s Day, Birthdays or Thank you cards! The DSP is great and does all the hard work for you and the best part is how easy it is to die cut so many of the printed images with the Trusty Tool Dies.

I was supposed to show how I made this card in my Marvelous Monday FB Live this week, but had a cortisone shot that morning, and by the afternoon, I could not even move my right arm without pain.

The FREE Trusty Toolbox DSP makes these cards so easy, all I did was cut a 4”x5-1/4” layer of DSP, but cut out an extra piece of the toolbox drawer handle (in gray). I cut the 4”x5-1/4” layer along the top of one of the drawers and glued the top portion to a Basic White Thick CS A2 card base. To the lower section of the tool box, I added a 4” piece of the Foam Adhesive Strips to the top drawer handle and then added the strip of drawer handle DSP to the top. A great 3D effect to the tool box.

I die cut and fussy cut out a bunch of tools from the DSP and glued them to the back side of the lower portion of the DSP, making sure some of the handles are dropping over the edge.

I then stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad ink to a piece of DSP and die cut it out. I popped it up on the lower front of the took box and added one more tool with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For my accent, I used the FREE Sale-a-bration Opaque Faceted Gems in Pool Party and added DSP to the envelope flap. I have to say this card looks much like my husband’s workbench… lol.

For the following card, I challenged my team to use the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketches from last week and come up with a card for our team meeting last night. I love to CASE (Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit).

Especially when making guy cards, I need a place to start, as I seriously come up with a blank… every… single… time… so that is why I love templates and sketches!!

I used a Basic White Thick A2 card base with a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” layer of Basic Black CS. I then uses a 4”x5-1/4” piece of the FREE DSP in Lost Lagoon and embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D EF and glued it to the card front.

I then cut out the three 4”x3/4” DSP strips, flagging one end with the Banners Pick A Punch. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray and cut it out with the 2-3/8” Circle Punch and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the screws and bot and added it with Stampin’ Dimensions. My last element was adding FREE Sale-a-bration 2024 Opaque Faceted Gems.
