Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set & Soft Pastels

Speedy Recovery

Hi friends, I spent Monday evening for my Marvelous Monday FB Live featuring the adorable sentiment stamp set Sweetly Scripted in the new Online Exclusive release and the Soft Pastels. It is amazing the variety of uses achievable with the Soft Pastels, but I shared coloring embossed cardstock using the Blender Pens.

Sweetly Scripted includes 6 adorable sentiments that are wonderful for all occasions. The Soft Pastels include 8 brilliant colors, including Gorgeous Grape, Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. The Blender Pens come in a package of 3 and are great for watercoloring with inks, watercolor pencils or applying pastels. I have used them since the days we had chalks as well, and my projects always turn out lovely.

I made 21 of this card for another swap with my new Minnesota friends.

The pastel colors I used was Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. I started with an A2 card base using Basic White Thick CS, I then used a 3-5/8”x4-7/8” piece of Flirty Flamingo CS, then a 3-1/2”x4-3/4” layer of Coastal Cabana CS. I then embossed a 3-3/8”x4-3/8” layer of Basic White CS using the Zinnia 3D embossing folder, but flipped the image over to color the back side.

For the Granny Apple Green and Costal Cabana colors, I used my Silicone Sheet to scribble some pastels to use with my blender pen to apply to my embossed cardstock. For the flowers, I used the pastels chalks to lightly apply directly to the embossed cardstock, then gently painted it over the entire flower. see video below

For the sentiment I used a 1/2”x5-1/2” piece of Basic White CS, then stamped it in Coastal Cabana ink, and glued it to a 3/8”x5-1/2” layer of Coastal Cabana CS. I tied a 6 loop bow using the Bakers Twine Three Color Pack and applied it to the card front using Glue Dots. I popped the sentiment up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then applied the Glossy Dots Assortment in Coastal Cabana as shown.

Happy Anniversary

I showed another example of the Soft Pastels and Sweetly Scripted combo, but this time using the Painted Posy 3D Embossing Folder (retiring April 30, 2024). This card was much more vibrant, using the Flirty Flamingo, Night of Navy, and Granny Apple Green pastels, and for cardstock, I used the Crumb Cake and Orchid Oasis cardstock, utilizing the same measurements as the above card.

To apply the pastel color, I used the pastel pencil directly to the flowers a little harder to get the vibrant color and then used the Blender pen to get the color into the crevices. I used Orchid Oasis ink for the sentiment and the 2022-2024 In-Color Pearls (sold out & retiring). The ribbon is Natural 3/8” Polka Dot Trim. So Cute!

Below I added more sample photos, along with swap samples from SSFL (creators name under photo).

I wanted to bring to your attention that the Painted Posy 3D Embossing Folder is retiring at the end of April. Discounts start on April 9, but keep in mind, it is as quantities last. The Annual Catalog last chance list is available in the link below.
